The idea behind LUCIO

The idea for LUCIO began in London in 1999, when Siggi Anton was studying design.

The inspiration came after a visit to Home in Leicester Square, a newly opened club where light, mirrors, curved forms, sound and movement were brought together through a disciplined modernist approach to create one complete sensory experience.

The question became whether that same thinking could be distilled into a single piece for the home, something to hang on the wall, create that same feeling and endure as a timeless modernist design.

That idea became LUCIO.

From the beginning, the aim has been to create a piece that brings warmth, depth and atmosphere to a space without requiring major changes. During the day, its mirrors catch and reflect changing light, colour and movement from the room around it. After the magical twilight hour, LUCIO’s warm backlight and subtle reflections create a calm, inviting lounge atmosphere that carries the room into the evening.
